Pond Fountain
A pond fountain is one of the most beautiful additions that can be added to a pond. There are many different spray patterns and designs for the fountain from tulip sprays to bubblers. Not only do they look great but they are also good for the health of the pond and especially good for oxygenating the water which is essential for the health of all fish.
A pond fountain should be located in a central area of the pond and the height of the spray should not be higher than half the width of the pond. Otherwise there could be a lot of water loss which will slowly drain the pond turning it into a muddy puddle and possible ruining the pump and filtration unit.
The best pond fountain sprays for windy areas are the tulip spray and bell shaped fountains. Multi-tiered and daisy fountains have a tendency to lose a lot of water and are more difficult to maintain and install. A bubble fountain is great for fish but requires a stronger pump than other fountains.
