Garden Pond

A garden pond is an excellent addition to any size garden not just because they look good but also because they can improve the environment around the garden. The moisture from the pond will keep the area more humid than normally, creating a microenvironment that plants love.

A garden pond typically needs a liner to prevent the water from flowing into the garden soil. Most plants do not survive well completely soaked in water so it is important to keep the plants and pond separated from each other. Because of the extra plants in the area the pond may have to be cleaned out more often.

A garden pond can come in many different shapes and sizes. They can be custom made to any specification and include everything from waterfalls to rivers, streams and fountains. The can contain fish and other aquatic creatures or simply be filled with water loving plants making the pond into a garden itself.
