Fish Pond Supplies

Fish pond supplies are similar to regular pond supplies except for one huge difference, they are always chemical free to protect the fish’s health. Fish require a special environment that is not only chemical free but also pH balanced and clean. A bad environment in the pond will quickly kill any fish from goldfish to koi.

Fish pond supplies such as chlorine and cloromines removers and a filter that can remove nitrates and other contaminants are very important. Tap water cannot be added to a fish pond because of all the chemicals is contains such as fluoride, chlorine and other chemicals from industrial run-off.

If the fish do become ill, there are fish pond supplies and medications that can be added to the water to nurse them back to health. There are medications for everything from fungus to parasites and bacterial infections. Follow the directions closely, especially the dose. Many require that the filter be removed while the medication is being administered to the fish.
